2024 Wuerffel Trophy Winner Announced

Dart is proud to sponsor the Wuerffel Trophy, college football’s premier award for community service, and congratulates 2024 trophy recipient Nick Dawkins, a Penn State Offensive Lineman.

Dart has served for the last nine years as a corporate partner for the award, which was established by 1996 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Danny Wuerffel from the University of Florida and honors college athletes who’ve made significant contributions on and off the field.

Dawkins, a senior, is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Penn State’s 2023 Public Service Award winner and founder of the Dawkins Family Foundation, which champions academic and athletic excellence for young students. Dawkins started foundation in 2022 to provide educational and enrichment opportunities for youth. The foundation presents three scholarships to high school seniors, including one in honor of Dawkins’ late father, NBA standout Darryl Dawkins. The organization offers educational workshops and sponsors charitable events in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley region, where Dawkins attended Parkland High School. He also created summer sports camps at the YMCA of Centre County and leads Uplifting Athletics at Penn State to raise funds for rare disease research.
