Leola site uses fun to combat safety 'villains'

While Dart stresses employee safety every day, we applaud our staff in Leola, PA, for finding ways to promote our Path to Zero injuries goal in a fresh and fun way.

Earlier this summer, Environmental Health and Safety staff organized a Safety Day and urged Leola teams to identify hazard “villains” to target. Team members took on the roles of Zero Heroes and Safety Sentinels to defeat villains such as Klever Kutter (representing cutting hazards), Dr. Trip N Stitch (representing fall hazards) and Mr. Meh (representing indifference).

The teams set up stations highlighting how they were able to eliminate each hazard. The Safety Day also included games, prizes and booths from vendors, including a demonstration on fall protection.
